Cloud Engineer

Description of the Role
The Cloud Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our Azure cloud infrastructure. This role requires a deep understanding of Azure services, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with our on-premises and cloud teams. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in cloud architecture, deployment, and management, with a focus on security and compliance. This role will require working in both a single and team environment making use of the ability to multi-task, the key requirement of this role is to be able to prioritize workloads and work to defined deadlines.
Key Responsibilities

Design and implement Azure cloud solutions to support our secure payment services.
Migrate/replicate on-premises services to Azure, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum efficiency.
Configure and manage Azure resources, including virtual networks, virtual machines, storage accounts, databases, and web services.
Ensure compliance with PCI DSS and other relevant standards in the cloud environment.
Implement and manage security measures, including identity and access management, network security, and data protection.
Monitor and optimize cloud performance, scalability, and cost.
Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to ensure seamless integration with our partners and operation of cloud services.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Azure-related issues.
Stay up-to-date with the latest Azure features, best practices, and industry trends.
Maintaining security patching levels within the cloud environment infrastructure

Required Qualifications

Mandatory: AZ-104 Microsoft Azure Administrator certification.
Mandatory: At least 1.5 years of hands-on experience with Azure.
Proven experience in designing, deploying, and managing Azure cloud solutions.
Strong understanding of cloud security principles and best practices.
Experience with network configuration, including VPNs, firewalls, and load balancers.
Familiarity with compliance standards such as PCI DSS and ISO 27001.
Proficiency in scripting and automation using tools like PowerShell, Azure CLI, or ARM templates.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent verbal and written English skills (B2-C1)

Preferred Qualifications


Experience with hybrid cloud environments.
Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines).
