Financial Controller

We are excited to announce a job opening for the position of Financial Controller at Vetropack Chisinau, a leading producer of glass packaging for the food and beverage industries. Position Overview:
The successful candidate should possess experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), strong knowledge of financial systems and tools, as well as excellent problem-solving and communication skills. We are looking for a dedicated professional who is passionate about the production and can thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities:

Ensure full control over overheads spending, including the functional support in budgets’ preparation, actuals analysis.
Participate in preparation of the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements for the unit.
Develop and maintain financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.
Analyze financial performance and key metrics, identifying trends and variances versus budgeted scenarios for major lines of the financial statements.
Prepare ad-hoc insightful management reports and presentations, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze financial data.
Support Senior Finance Controller in the daily tasks related to the cooperation with other functions.
Support ad-hoc financial analysis and projects as needed.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial reporting processes.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
2 - 5 years of experience in financial analysis, reporting, or accounting.
Strong understanding of local accounting standards and IFRS, Swiss GAP is a plus.
Proficiency in financial analysis techniques, including ratio analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with financial reporting software (SAP is a plus).
Fluent in Romanian and English, both written and spoken.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree in a relevant field.
Industry experience relevant to the company's sector.
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI).
Professional certifications such as ACCA, CFA, or CIMA.
