As an Associate Business Analyst at Insomniac Design, you’ll support business analysis activities across the project lifecycle while developing expertise in requirements gathering, stakeholder collaboration, and digital product development. Working under the guidance of senior team members, you will contribute to delivering high-quality business solutions that align with client needs and company objectives.
General Responsibilities:
- Expected to work under the supervision of a manager or more senior peer.
-Takes ownership for delivering assigned tasks and projects.
- Follows routine Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Able to address well-defined problems by following established guidelines and processes.
- Perform work at a satisfactory level according to written standards and meets KPIs.
- Follows company processes and demonstrates the potential to improve existing processes.
Responsibilities:
- Plays a key role in ensuring business needs are accurately translated into requirements, contributing to successful project delivery and improved user experiences.
- Works closely with Product Managers, Developers, and UX Designers to gather, refine and validate requirements.
- Participates in stakeholder meetings, helping to capture feedback and refine requirements.
- Supports the creation of Business Requirements, User Stories, and Acceptance Criteria under the guidance of senior BAs.
- Proactively identifies gaps in requirements and seeks clarification to improve solution accuracy.
- Communicates effectively across different teams and adapts to changing project needs.
- Collaborates with internal teams to ensure requirements align with business and technical needs.
- Assists in user acceptance testing (UAT) by helping to develop test cases and tracking feedback.
- Maintains documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness of requirements and functional specifications.
- Supports client-facing activities such as product demonstrations, training sessions, and UAT coordination.
- Learns and applies industry best practices for requirement elicitation, analysis, and documentation.
- Keeps detailed records of discussions, decisions, and requirement changes.
Professional Development:
- Develops foundational expertise in business analysis best practices and tools.
- Develops proficiency in using tools like Jira, Confluence, and Figma to support documentation and requirements tracking.
- Actively participates in team discussions, absorbing knowledge from more experienced BAs and other team members.
- Initially supports senior analysts with documentation and stakeholder engagement, progressively gaining autonomy in managing smaller features or project components.
Skills & Experience:
- 3 years of experience in a Business Analyst or similar role within a digital agency, technology company, or related field.
- Fluent in English, written and verbal.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a willingness to learn and adapt.
- Basic understanding of requirements documentation, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with stakeholders, team members, and clients.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies is needed.
Experience using Jira, Confluence, and other project management tools is a plus but not required.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Eagerness to learn from senior team members and develop expertise in business analysis.
